GIS Engineer – Full Job Description
We're looking for a GIS Engineer who can transform spatial data into actionable intelligence. You'll work closely with our product and AI teams to build and maintain high-performing GIS layers and mapping systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, analyze, and visualize spatial data for ongoing and new projects
- Develop, maintain, and optimize GIS layers, geo-databases, and web map services
- Conduct field survey data integration and processing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement GIS-based solutions
- Develop scripts for automation of spatial data workflows
- Perform quality assurance and control on spatial datasets
- Support training sessions and documentation for stakeholders and clients
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geoinformatics, Geography, or related field
- Strong knowledge of spatial data formats and database management
- Experience with GPS and mobile data collection tools
- Familiarity with tools for spatial processing
- Ability to work in dynamic, fast-paced team environment
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Bonus Skills
- Experience in government GIS/taxation projects
- Familiarity with satellite imagery analysis techniques
- Exposure to AI/ML-based GIS platforms
